Newton Aycliffe FC are delighted to announce that prolific goalscorer Mattie Moffat will be joining for the 2015/2016 Northern League Division 1 season.
Moffat rejoins his former boss Peter Dixon for whom he played in two FA Vase finals at Wembley & regularly scored 20+ goals per season.
The former West Auckland striker adds considerable firepower to the Aycliffe attack & his signing is an indication that Dixon is determined to strengthen his squad for the next campaign.
Club chairman Allan Oliver said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mattie to Moore Lane. It just shows how far we’ve come as a club. Who would have thought when we were playing in the Durham Alliance seven years ago that we would be able to have players of this calibre wearing an Aycliffe shirt? I’m looking forward to an exciting forward to an exciting season”.
