Sport for all the family is available this Easter in County Durham parks. The popular Parklife programme is moving outdoors with free activities for all ages ranging from rounders to tennis.
Take part in the Go Play Easter scheme at the following sites:
Wednesday 8 April: Hackworth Park, Shildon (1pm to 4pm)
Friday 10 April: Bishop Town Recreation Park, Bishop Auckland (1pm to 4pm)
During the winter Parklife was on at several indoor venues across Bishop Auckland, Crook and Shildon. Marie Urwin, sport and physical activity development officer, Durham County Council said: “These sessions are all about having a go a range of sports that all the family can enjoy and we are delighted they are continuing.
“Hundreds of people have taken part and we are looking forward to welcoming new people on the road to fitness.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. We will soon be announcing the new spring and summer programme with a huge range of activities.”
