Tesco have just completed a major investment in it’s Newton Aycliffe store. The improvements are part of its ‘Building a Better Tesco’ programme which will see it refurbish many stores across the UK this year.
They have transformed the general merchandise and clothing departments to create a modern and improved shopping environment for customers. Shoppers will be able to enjoy a stylish F + F boutique as well as the new shop layout focusing on home living, cook and dine and new digital browsers which enable customers to order and purchase any of the 1000’s of online products for either home delivery or pick up at the store.
The popular Phone Shop has been improved with a warmer look and feel environment offering great deals across most networks and smartphone contracts from as little as £7.50 a month.
Store Manager Martin Butcher said “I am very proud of the work and effort my team have put in these last couple of months to bring our customers a much improved Non Food shopping environment.
The New look in all departments has been received extremely positively by our customers with some great comments. We have included some new product ranges throughout the store which I hope our customers will love”.
The store’s transformation has allowed it to make better use of some of its non food space and to focus on new popular products.
Tesco Aycliffe have created 25 new jobs along with a further 26 temporary Christmas jobs to support this new investment and improve their customers’ shopping experience.
