Aycliffe golfing talent Jake Goad, aged 8 years, recently played in his first competition, a nationally run event known as Wee Wonders.
With 13 regional qualifiers across the country the winner of each age category qualifies to play in the Grand Final to be held at the home of golf St. Andrews.
Jake a student at Byerley Park, played in the North East qualifier at Ramside Hall G.C, on Sunday 29th July. He played some exceptional golf on the day, winning his age category and shooting a 9 hole total of 48.
Jake is a member at Woodham Golf Club and has been playing since the age of 4. He hopes one day to play with Rory McIroy!
