Dear Sir,
I would like to thank Ric Hargreaves for the excellent display, in remembrance of the beginning of World War One, at St. Clare’s Church.  It was a very moving experience, especially watching  a dvd called ‘The Last Voices’ of survivors of the war, recounting their experiences, (sadly they have since all  passed away) and reading examples of poetry and letters written from the trenches.
The list displaying the number of casualties and deaths from all countries caught up in the conflict really brought home the horror of this war and the debt that we owe those who fought and died.
