England have called up Kate Avery to replace Jo Pavey in the 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games, reports BBC Tees. The 22-year-old from Newton Aycliffe had previously missed selection for both the 5,000m and 10,000m.
She will now be in Glasgow after Pavey withdrew to race in the 5,000m.
Kate ran for Great Britain in the 3,000m at the European Team Championships in June, finishing ninth in an outdoor personal best of 8:56.24.
