Dear Sir
May I make the people of Newton Aycliffe aware that there are morons out there that dislike the idea of normal people growing flowers in their gardens, mainly for their own enjoyment, but also for the passing public to enjoy.
My husband spends a lot of time growing flowers for everyone to enjoy, but can you imagine my anger when on Sunday 11th May I found the beautiful tulips that had been gently blowing in the breeze, beheaded! They hadn’t been picked or taken to cheer someone up, but cut and the heads discarded on the ground – wanton destruction in my book!
I know this letter won’t prick the culprit’s conscience – these idiots probably have difficulty reading too – but I’d just like to warn decent folk, of whom there are plenty regardless of the general opinion, to be aware that being hard working and taking a pride in your home and garden doesn’t always pay.
