A big thank you to Honest John for all his hard work raising £600 for the new Cancer Support Group in the town.
They are planning activities to help cancer sufferers gain more confidence as most people lose it when diagnosed. Allison White shown in the photo with John, is trying to make sure cancer patients or carers are not alone and that there is help out there for them. Some people feel low going to hospital and returning to just their four walls.
By taking them on day trips or lunch etc Allison hopes to stop that happening. “We have such a friendly group and if you don’t want to come alone then bring someone with you.
