On Friday 21st March Year 6 at Aycliffe Village Primary School took part in a marvellous eight mile bike ride for Sports Relief.
The children left Aycliffe Village and headed to Newton Aycliffe, led by Tony Gairy volunteer bike leader. On the way the children stopped at West Park and Tesco Park. After that the children went back to school having had an amazing bike ride.
All the children in Year 6 had a very good time and would like to thank, Mr Hughes, Mr Mitchell, Mr Gairy, Mr Gargan and Mrs Vest for accompanying the children on the bike ride.
While the children in Year 6 were cycling the rest of the school did a 1 mile walk around the village. Altogether the school raised around £150 for Sport Relief.
