The 3rd “Bill Potts Memorial Trophy” Open Mixed Fours Bowls Competition was held over the weekend of 15th and 16th February, 2014 at Great Aycliffe Indoor Bowling Club.
Thirty-two players took part in the event which was sponsored by local firm Gordon Fletcher & Sons, Family Funeral Directors who celebrated their 75th Anniversary year.
Top three places with cash prizes were decided on total points and shots with success for John Deller, Sandra Hind, Ronnie Dixon and Anne Bernard from Durham winning six out of seven matches over the two days with 12 points/37 shots.
Second place Sue Young with 9 points/30 shots and in third place Margaret Wigley 8 points/ 4 Shots. Why not try indoor bowls combined with a meal and bar facilities at the Oak Leaf Complex who supported the club in hosting the event.
