Ineos, the first company to open at Aycliffe in 1947, are the first industrialist to show support for the newly formed Great Aycliffe Community Aid Partnership by installing a collection bin for employees to contribute food and household items for people in need.
The company has a proud record of helping our community and the “Busy Bees” Charity run by Nora Brewster recently made a cash contribution to GACAP.
Site Manager Paul Coleman said he wanted to encourage the work of GACAP who are bringing together in partnership all those involved in helping people in crisis.
Nora is shown in the photograph with the special collection bin, the items from which will be passed on to those distributing aid including the Foodbank.
Joan Clark thanked Ineos and said they were leading the way and showing a great example. Anyone wishing to support GACAP should contact Joan Clark on 307522, e-mail: treasurer.nayc@live.co.uk
