Under 10 Falcons hosted Ferryhill on a cold but sunny Sunday morning. The lads were hoping to continue with their recent fine form. Ferryhill started well and put us under pressure, going close with a couple of long range efforts.
Midway through the half, Tom Jasper picked up the ball and drove at the heart of the Ferryhill defence, his low shot was saved by the Ferryhill keeper but Liam Horner was on hand to slot home.
On the stroke of HT we went 2 up when a cross from Tom Jasper was deflected into the net. Second half we made some changes and Joseph Birchall came on to make his debut. The boys had their tails up and Tom Jasper grabbed himself 4 goals and Joseph sealed his debut with a goal. Some good football in spells today.
Mom Tom Jasper, who was credited with the second goal. 5 goals today and he was instrumental in all the good work. Well played. Ft 7-0 with 3 clean sheets in a row, 7 wins on the spin and 8 out of 8 at home. A great bunch of lads who are enjoying their football.
Credit to Ferryhill who battled for everything today and were a credit to their manager. Good to see kids enjoying football no matter the result. Next week away to Seaton Carew, weather permitting
