Chris and Diane Young proprietors of the Newsagents, Stationers and Post Office in the Town Centre thought it only right and proper for Phil Wilson MP to be invited to offically open their new shop. “Without Phil Wilson’s intervention we would not have a Town Centre Post Office” said Chris Young. “He made it possible for us to take it on and move from our old Steven’s shop and expand our service to the town”. he added.“We are grateful to him and the Landlords for their co-operation, also for the hard work put in by our staff and the patience of our customers” said Diane.
The shop services are now complete and enjoying good patronage with Paypoint, Debit and Credit Card facilities now available.
The new hours are popular: Monday to Saturday 6.30am – 5.30pm and Sunday 7am – 12 noon.
