Year 8 students at St John’s School & Sixth Form College were treated to a day of Samba workshops in January. Jack Drum Arts visited school and presented the sights, sounds and energy of Samba in practical demonstrations creating plenty of noise.
Approximately 25 Y8 students have been selected to join regular Samba band rehearsals to prepare for a special Summer outdoor Festival “!Vamos!” in Newcastle. Bring your earplugs – you will need them as Samba is sensationally loud!!
