It’s a new year and time to try something new at Greenfield Arts! Whilst the builders continue to work around us we have been busy planning a range of courses and activities for young people and adults in the community and we are pleased to be able to offer a number of new opportunities ready to start the New Year in style.
Maria Postma will join us on Tuesday 21st January (6pm-7:30pm) and Tuesday 28th January (6pm-7.30pm) for free taster sessions of Nail Art and Make Up, to gauge interest for full-length courses. As the annual “Open Art” exhibition in the gallery approaches we have arranged a number of courses and workshops for those wanting to explore their creativity and learn something new.
Two local artists, Jilly Greenwood and Jackie Stonehouse, will be demonstrating techniques including Life Drawing, Coca-Cola Lithography and Etching.
As well as these new taster sessions, all our popular courses are back this year, including Floral Art, Yoga, Painting and Drawing, Spanish, Guitars with John Melvin and more. The Community Learning Programme here at Greenfield Arts is designed to offer the local community access to a range of activities and courses, providing learning and fun opportunities for all.
Once the current building work is complete we have plans to expand the course offer and introduce new learning opportunities in the new spaces we are creating. Most courses start the week beginning 13th January 2014, if you want to take part in one of our courses full information including dates, times and prices can be found on our website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk, or by coming in and seeing us during opening hours – just mind the dust!
