Thanks to all the knitters that responded to my request to knit blankets/shawls to keep our elderly lonely people warm. Please keep on knitting there is still a lot of wool and plenty of people who would benefit from your kindness.
I would like to hear from any neighbour that knows of any person living alone who would benefit from one of these blanket/shawls. I will be delivering them personally to ensure your security. My volunteers are all CRB/DBS checked and after all the blankets are delivered would like to visit as many older lonely people over the dark days of winter.
We would  also like to take you to our community house to meet other people and have a cup of coffee/tea followed by a game of Bingo.
For a small charge you can have a bacon butty or bowl of soup and a bun all freshly cooked and delicious to eat. Come on senior citizens get in touch, we are trying to bring you something to look forward to every week.
