On Thursday 24th October Woodham Academy offered its Year 11 students the opportunity to have a one to one careers advice appointment with a trained careers advisor. The appointments formed part of the parents’ information evening and there were representatives from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College along with Darlington College also present.
Angela Proud, a careers advisor from the Improving Progression of Young People team, said “The night was very busy and I was able to give young people invaluable information which will support them when considering suitable career pathways and routes.”
Woodham Academy prides itself on the quality of advice and guidance it offers to all students from Year 7 to Year 11 and was recently awarded the nationally recognised career education kitemark ‘Investors in Careers’.
