Dr Leslie Cookson has now retired from Woodham Dental Surgery and Harp Basra has taken over the practice to offer a comprehensive dental service to Woodham and Newton Aycliffe as a whole.
Born and bred in Huddersfield, after graduating from the University of Manchester he established a large NHS patient list. He left the practice after 10 years and took roots in the North East, living in Tynemouth, working for others and starting a family.
Harp is quite impressed with Newton Aycliffe describing it has a nice attractive and friendly place.
He and his wife, Nicola who is a qualified Barrister, will be undertaking modernisation and improvements to the practice and welcomes everyone of all ages for NHS and private treatments. Tooth whitening is also available.
Harp said: “Our 16 month old daughter Asha is still growing her own teeth and prevention is the best form of treatment of tooth decay. Start early and children will have a healthy set of teeth for years to come. Leslie Cokson has served Woodham Village for over 26 years and our desire is to carry on his good work and build on those foundations. All at Woodham Dental Surgery wish Leslie all the best for his retirement”.
The staff at Woodham has been retained and Harp is looking forward to meeting his patients and welcoming any new ones to his surgery.
