Dear Sir,
I am a member of the Durham Clayport Matters, a craft group keeping alive proggy/hooky mat making, bringing it into the 21st century.
I am a Newtonian and attend the meetings on Monday in Durham Clayport Library. Others meet at the recently refurbished Bowburn Community Centre on Wednesday from 10am-2pm.
We are holding an Open Day there on Saturday 26th October to exhibit the latest creations and demonstrate the art, giving hands on guidance on how to prog or hooky
Entry is free and there are other stalls, a raffle, bric-a-brac, jewellery, cake stall, and refreshments. Come along and enjoy a free day with a taster session.
