This Sunday 29th at 2pm until 3.30pm the Newton Aycliffe Wildlife Explorers will see the last of our monthly meetings at the Eco-Centre. This month the topic is Homes & Habitats where we will be finding out about the diversity of life, and ways to help wildlife by creating places for them to live as their natural homes are being destroyed.
Leaders and helpers will be on hand to guide our members through the afternoon. New members are always welcome and we are happy to discuss what we do with interested parents.
The Wildlife Explorers is a junior group of the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) and we aim to foster an interest in all forms of wildlife.
Our meetings are usually held at the Eco-Centre at Moore Lane, which as of October, will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each month, and will be from 6pm until 7.30pm. We occasionally hold events at the Aycliffe Nature Park with pond dipping etc. These are planned in advance and everyone notified.
A small fee of £1 per child is all we ask at each meeting to help cover the cost of the building, refreshments, and materials for activities. Parents are welcome to stay and join in.
We look forward to seeing new faces, so why not come along?
