Here’s a brief update of what has been happening over the past week or so:
Last Saturday evening, 2nd November, two male youths were arrested for several offences, following an incident on Williamfield Way. Both were then taken to custody.
On Tuesday, PCSO’s from the Neighbourhood Team attended Byerley Park Primary School to start this year’s carousel sessions. Years 5 and 6 students received talks on Internet Safety, Bullying, Anti-Social Behaviour and Crime & Consequences.
On Tuesday evening, a male was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery following a domestic related incident.
An investigation took place on Wednesday, following a number of cars being burnt out in Hutton Place in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Boyd attended the UTC to deliver talks on knife crime to students.
On Wednesday night, a male was arrested for threats to commit criminal damage, and for breaching a restraining order.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, two males were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences following a pursuit, including the theft of a motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply and driving whilst disqualified.
Also on Thursday, a vehicle was seized after being driven by a disqualified driver.
Furthermore, on Thursday evening, another vehicle was seized under Op Takeaway as the driver had no insurance. The male then failed a drugs wipe and was further arrested for this.
On Saturday night, a male was arrested following a domestic related report and was taken to custody.
On Sunday, officers from the Neighbourhood Team attended the Remembrance Day Parade.
