Glow Church’s ‘Light Night’ event on 31st October proved a major success, drawing over 500 community members for an evening packed with family-friendly activities and entertainment. The event, tailored to provide a fun, safe and non-spooky Halloween alternative, featured a range of attractions, including inflatables, hands-on craft stations, a sensory space, and a bustling toddler zone.
Children arrived dressed in non-scary costumes to enjoy the festivities and even competed for prizes awarded to the best-dressed. Unlimited candy floss added a sweet treat to the night.
Funding from Durham County Council went towards the running costs and funding from GAMP helped provide healthy packed teas for the younger guests.
“Light Night has been an incredible opportunity to connect with families across Durham,” said Katie Earley, Glow Kid’s Director, “We’re grateful for the community’s support and the chance to bring everyone together.”
This successful turnout highlights the church’s growing role as a vibrant community hub, bringing joy and connection to families throughout the region.
Glow Church is eager to welcome the community back, not only for regular Sunday services, but also for its much-anticipated Christmas Show ‘The Gift’, set for December. Tickets are free, but booking is required – book your tickets via: www.thegiftatglow.com
