Under 8’s Blues hosted Billingham Juniors Blues and, true to form, were quick off the blocks. Nate helped himself to four goals, with Carter and Alex also scoring. Opposition MOTM went to Carter, who even received a medal from their manager in what was a classy touch. Coaches MOTM was Nate for implementing pass and move excellently from the training ground.
Under 8’s travelled to Skelton, against a particularly good side Aycliffe put in an amazing performance to make everyone proud. Goals from Cooper, Oliver, Harry, Alfie and Joey. A special mention to Theo and Ollie in defence, who were both outstanding.
Under 9’s Juniors travelled to St. Mary’s Bishops in a great physical match, which saw the whole team 100% committed. Goals from Linc, Conner and Flynn. MOTM went to Kaeson for a great defensive performance and keeping a cool head.
Under 9’s Reds sporting a Stoma Aware armband in support of little Jack from Peterlee, who is 9 and has a Stoma, played against Hartlepool St Francis. After a slow start, Aycliffe scored goals from Oliver (2) and Ollie. MOTM was awarded to Oliver and parents MOTM went to Jack.
Under 9’s Reds faced Darlington Spraire Lads at South Park in a friendly game that saw Ollie grab four goals and Thomas scored two. MOTM was the full team.
Under 10’s Whites entertained Bedale in an early morning kick off. Aycliffe used the full squad to their advantage and scored a great goal. MOTM was Freddie for stepping up to play in goal at the last minute and Franco for being full of energy and never giving up.
Under 10’s travelled to Saltburn in what was a good game. Aycliffe scored the goals through Noah A (2), William P and Eddie M. MOTM was Georgie Ray for an excellent performance in defence. The highlight of the development game was Alfie F scoring his first goal for the team.
Under 11’s Reds played against Darlington in a feisty game, with both teams committed to every tackle. Charlie, Oliver T and Koa scored the goals for a great result.
Under 11’s Blacks travelled to face Skelton Reds, Aycliffe started slow, but Liam B was in fine form in goal. Changes in the second half saw JJ grab two goals for Aycliffe, which were assisted by Alfie S and Jack B. POTM was awarded to both Liam B and Alfie S. Liam playing superbly in goal and Alfie was tireless again.
Under 12’s Whites had a tough day, going down 0-4 at home to Felling Magpies Blacks, despite showing some promising football, Aycliffe could not get the result they wanted. MOTM was Harry C.
Under 12’s Blacks played a strong Eaglescliffe Elementis Yellows, Aycliffe put in a good battling performance, but could not get the result they wanted. MOTM was Kai who never stopped running and Arron for some outstanding goalkeeping.
Under 13’s Whites played their first home game of the season against Shildon, coming away with a fantastic 3-1 victory. The goals were scored by James and Oliver (2). MOTM was Ethan for taking control of every position he played.
Under 13’s returned to league action and winning ways, with a hard-fought victory over Riverside Juniors Blues. A superb first half performance led to a 4-0 lead at the break. An improved performance from Riverside got them back into the game, but Aycliffe held on for a 5-3 win. Goals from Jonah (4) and Dom. With Dom & Will grabbing two assists each and Shay the other.
Under 13’s entertained Whitby in what was a tight game, just short losing 2-1, with the goal coming from Layton W. MOTM was Sam.
Under 16’s Whites entertained Darlington TSC and ended up drawing 1-1 in a game where both sides matched each other. Adam scored Aycliffe’s goal, with Ollie winning MOTM.
Under 16’s Blacks hosted Spennymoor Town Knights in their first home game of the season. In a well-matched game, both teams started well with a strong & fast paced game, however, it was Spennymoor who come away with a 0-3 win. MOTM, chosen by the opposition, was Danny.
Under 23’s ran out 7-0 winners away at North Bitchburn, Aycliffe dominated the game and had numerous chances to score more goals. The goals were scored by Damo (2), Harvey, Sam B, Sam W, Sean R and Noah. MOTM was awarded to Damo.
