My thanks to Carole King, the finance and administration officer of Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC, who joined me in the studio.
Established in 1992, Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC provides a Day Care Service for Adults with Learning Difficulties and mental health issues. Based at the old fire station in Ferryhill, County Durham, the centre has a particular focus on providing adult service users with skills in Woodwork, Arts and Crafts as well as general socialising and life skills.
The service users are involved in all parts of our organisation, from the manufacturing of
the goods we produce to the selling of the product to the customer, allowing them to
gain invaluable skills.
Recently, Endeavour celebrated its 30th Anniversary as an organisation and have also started to deliver projects aimed at clients with hearing impairment and ex-service personnel.
The organisation is led by a devoted and highly skilled staff team who are supported by
a voluntary Board of Directors. The Team benefits from a number of volunteers who support the work of the organisation, and the generous support of the local council and businesses.
For further information, contact details can be obtained from Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC facebook page.
