Doncaster Rovers winger, Luke Molyneux, was delighted to be named Sky Bet League Two Player of the month for August. He beat off competition from players from Walsall, Chesterfield and Notts County. The judging panel comprised of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman (ex Sunderland player), EFL Chief Executive and Sky Bet EFL trader.
Luke hit the ground running at the first home game of the season when he scored two goals, an assist and was awarded Man of the Match and he worked his magic again at the first away game of the season with two goals and an assist. Sky Sports’ EFL pundit, Don Goodman said: “Luke Molyneux is the in form player in League Two with four goals and two assists from his opening games.”
Luke said: “I’m delighted to receive this award, it’s something I’ve never achieved before. It’s a great bonus to have this when the team is doing well. The players around me have helped massively as well. It’s been a good start, but it motivates me to keep getting better.”
All the family are very proud of Luke’s achievements, especially his grandparents who go to all of Doncaster’s home games with Luke’s Mam and Dad.
One Proud Grandma.
