The first hour of this week’s show was given over to the studio Gremlins, who ensured what could go wrong did go wrong. My first guest caught a bug, he didn’t want to spread it around, the catering manager had a day off so Andy’s Cafe was closed, then to ensure we were music free the Gremlins raised their game to create technical mayhem. Obviously they didn’t like my taste in quality 70’s music.
Thankfully, the military saved the day when Chris Morgan and Heather Dickinson from the Veterans Community and Enterprise Centre joined me in the studio for the second half of the show. The VCEC has, in recent times, overcome some serious obstacles in order to re-establish a veterans centre and support network in the community. The group is still based in the Blue Bridge Centre, Tuesday to Thursday, 10.00am to 3.30pm. Tuesday is the model club, Wednesday is the art group, and Thursday is the Wood Skillz, the numbers are steadily increasing for all of the activities, and anyone wanting further information can e-mail: info@vcec.co.uk or tel 07872 394427 or go to the VCEV (Newton Aycliffe) Facebook page or
