On 7th September, Newton Aycliffe Dog Training Club held their fun dog show, which is now an annual event. There were nine fun classes, four fun Obedience classes, the Fastest Recall Competition and a ‘Have a Go’ Obstacle Course.
The attendance was amazing, with dog owners from Newton Aycliffe, Darlington and as far afield as Cumbria coming to enjoy a day out with their dogs. All the class winners went forward to the Best in Show Class, which was judged by Maureen Conlin of ‘Walk n Train Dog Training Academy’. The top partnership and Best in Show winner went to Alison Farrar and Albie, they had won the ‘Waggiest Tail’ class to qualify. The Reserve Best in Show went to Leona and Zues, the Golden Oldie winner. Congratulations to all our winners, however, everyone took the best dog home.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported the show. Newton Aycliffe Dog Training Club members for their help with the planning and preparation for the show, and contributing further to demonstrations during the show, registration desk, raffle, tombola, ‘Have a Go’ and Fastest Recall rings. Our Obedience judges Graham and Rachael Armstrong of ‘Jarys Dog Training Club’ Billingham, Abigail Craft, a club member, obedience competitor and employee of BTS Facades and Fabrications, who support Newton Aycliffe Dog Training Club, and Helen Grunwell, club member. The stall holders and our fabulous class sponsors were amazing. Everyone who donated raffle and tombola prizes, there were an amazing variety of prizes to be won. We appreciate all the support we were given to make our second show such a success.
There was a lovely happy atmosphere all day, thank you all.
Planning is already underway for next year.
