Background: We are a triathlon club based in Newton Aycliffe, supporting members from the local area achieve their ambitions and goals across the multi disciplined events of cycling, swimming and running, through structured training delivered from our experienced coaches. With many opportunities to compete in various single and multi-discipline events ranging from Ironman to Sprint Triathlons, Duathlons, Aquabike, Swimming and many more.
The club offers multiple coached, and activator led, sessions including swimming, running and bike/run brick sessions, which will help develop new and tune existing skills.
Recently supported by funding from British Triathlon, supporting the 2024 Olympics, the club held Open Water swim sessions for both club and none-club members, aimed at both swimmers wanting to try Open Water for the first time and members who want to improve the Open Water skills. Due to the popularity of these, the club is evaluating on how to offer these sessions on a more regular basis.
We have a growing number of members that compete in various events including Iron Man, Triathlon and Swimming events.
2024 has already seen many excellent performances by our members proving that we are growing each year as a club, in both local and national events, including:

• Jayne Rudd completing the London Marathon in April after months of hard work to prepare and train.
