In the first half of Sunday 28th July’s show we had Caryn, one of our resident counsellors and health care facilitators and a regular contributor to the show, discussing the health benefits of bringing some joy back into our lives. Looking at why we need a little more joy in our lives, the long term effects on our health and wellbeing, as well as the negative effects on our immune system when the natural happiness/sadness effects in life are out of balance. We discussed what it is like to be human, and what kind of things make us sad or unhappy, discussing examples of how others can bring joy into our lives, and ways of creating our own joy, health and happiness in life.
In the second half of the show, Dave Clark, from the Aycliffe Bus Preservation Society museum, was our guest. Following on from their recent successful open day, Dave brought us up to date with some of the ongoing restoration work by the museum, and their highly successful collaboration and working relationship with the award winning Beamish Museum. The museum will be open on a number of Saturdays over the school holidays, and further details of their opening times and dates can be found on their website and facebook page.
