On the Sunday 7th July show we had Danielle Beck as our first guest, Danielle is one of the principal players with the Ferryhill Stage Society and she was discussing their forthcoming local production of Guys and Dolls. A musical fable of Broadway, music & lyrics by Frank Loesser. Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Based on a story and characters of Damon Runyon. In the second half of the show we had Thomas Wales, the Director of Baccanalia who provides specialist markets and cultural events across the region. Durham County Council has procured specialist social enterprise Baccanalia to organise bespoke markets at 11 locations across the county. Ranging from craft markets, street food, farmers’ markets, vintage fairs and Christmas markets, the events will run across the calendar year and build on previous events which have been held in Bishop Auckland. The Aycliffe Street Food Market takes place on the 3rd Friday of the month, the next one being the 19th July commencing 3.00pm.
