The children in Year 6 visited Durham Cathedral for their Leaver’s Service. The children participated in many activities to celebrate the progress they have made in Junior school. The children made peace doves with messages of love and hope, explored the meaning of spirituality by creating posters and using Lego, were asked to make something that made them feel happy. It was a real ‘feel-good’ experience for the children and the staff.
After spending time at the Cathedral, the children jumped back on the bus and headed to Wharton Park. The rainy weather didn’t stop the children enjoying the playground equipment.
The children were inspired by the beautiful views of Durham City and didn’t mind posing for a picture.
