Shildon Model Railway Club are to stage their annual Spring exhibition at The OakLeaf Sports Complex, Newton Aycliffe on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June. This will be the second time that this exhibition has been held here.
The show opens to the public at 10am each day with 19 impressive working layouts, and many traders coming from as far afield as Bognor Regis. These will be selling all sorts of Models, Scenic Materials and Modelling Tools and Equipment. Models from Glasgow, Birmingham, Lancashire and Cheshire, as well as more local areas, will be exhibited
Traders will be selling models made by Model Makers, Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol and many more representatives from other makers
Flying Scotsman will be make an appearance along with lots more famous Locomotives being shown on layouts along with some very accurate displays
Thomas will be there for the children to have a drive and also a LEGO Layout, again available for the children can drive.
The cost of entry is £8.00 for Adults, £16.00 for Families (2 adults and max 4 kids), parking on site is free of charge, making this a great family day out.
On site there is an outdoor play area, restaurant and bar facilities are available, with meals also available
Open: 10am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday.
