With all the OakLeaf pitches looking in remarkably good condition, it was a full set of fixtures this weekend. All the matches started with a minute’s silence as a mark of respect of those who lost their lives in serving their country.
Aycliffe U14 Girls 7 v Foundation of Light 1
A comfortable win. Goals from Ebony, Ava Manders, Miller, a first goal for Paigey and a third hat trick of the season for Dowson, saw us score seven to retain our 100% record in the league.
Waldridge Park 3 v Aycliffe U15 Eagles (Cup) 9
Cup action for the under 15’s. Dominating performance from the initial whistle with players winning their battles all over the pitch. A fantastic team performance with some brilliant goals scored. Goals: Kaiden x 2, Adam x 2, Albie, Hamza, Harvey, Ellis and Olly. MoM: Adam.
Greatham FC 1 v Aycliffe U13 Eagles 7
A great win. Aycliffe knew it was going to be a tough game and had to ride some tackles but the boys kept going until the final whistle. Well done lads. Goals from Rossi x 4, Cameron, Dan and Olly. No one MOM as the whole team were outstanding.
CLS Diablos 5 v Aycliffe U12 Wildcats 0
A tough game today in the cup. The scoreline doesn’t reflect the match. CLS scored some good goals and Aycliffe were unable to capitalise on their chances. The home keeper did well to keep the ball out of their net for the full match.
Aycliffe U17 Eagles 7 v Carlton Miniots 1
The away team started the game well, but Aycliffe took control of the game and went into half time 2 up. The lads stepped up their performance in the second half, winning more tackles and creating more chances. Goals from John T, Tom D x 2, Adz Y, Travis D, MoM: Joey B.
CLS Utd 3 v Aycliffe U14 Angels (County Cup) 5
Through to the County Cup semi finals after a win against a spirited CLS side. This result means the Angels are now undefeated in 40 league and cup games stretching back to March 2022. Goals came from Romilly (4) and a first goal for Ruby. Star Players: Hannah & Daisy.
Aycliffe U13 Girls 5 v Bishop Auckland (Cup) 4
With a 3-2 HT Lead and 4-4 with minutes to go Teder slotted the winner POTM Jasmine and Teder
Aycliffe U15 Girls (Sunday) 1 v Gateshead Performance 4
A tough game for the girls against a team that had played 5 and won 5. POTM: Evie & Lana.
Whitleas Lions v Aycliffe U11 Eagles (Cup)
A first half hat trick from Teni and some fantastic goalkeeping from Ethan kept us in the game. It was totally different in the second half, the lads played some excellent football, to take us through to the next round with a 6-5 win.
Stockton Town Reds v Aycliffe U10 Eagles
The lads got off to a flying start with Will crossing to George who reacted the quickest to find the back of the net! Eagles were defending well at the back and the team dominant in possession but just couldn’t make the break through with Floyd smashing the bar from a free kick. Harry M was excellent in goal, saving Eagles twice on the counter attack.
Aycliffe U10 Wildcats v Billingham Utd
Another tight game in which either team could have edged it. The Girls applied everything from training to largely nullify Billingham’s counter-attacks and took their chances when in front of goal to win the game. Elsie & Erin for picking up Parents & Coaches POTMs.
Prissick Rovers v Aycliffe U9 Eagles
A tight first half ended all square with both teams playing well. In the second half the first 10 minutes remained close with the score still all square. However, the boys showed some great energy and, in the final third of the game, were well on top ending the game worthy winners.
Aycliffe U8 Eagles v Riverside Reds
The boys led at half time after scoring three times. The opposition managed to get 2 goals but Aycliffe scored with some great passing throughout the game. All of the boys got plenty of game time as well. Goals from Toby, Austin, Ollie and 3 from Josh.
Brandon v Aycliffe U8 Wildcats
Despite going three up, Brandon did come back but the girls edged the game. Alice, Willow, Ella and Lily Ella worked hard to set up the goals for Sophie 2, Emilia and Matilda.
21st All Stars v Aycliffe U7 Eagles
A very competitive game with Aycliffe taking the lead 3 times but were pegged back each time with the draw being a fair result. Goals from Elijah (2) and an OG.
