Heighington U11s 2 v East Durham Blues U11s 2
A massive well done to our new U11 team who incredibly drew with their more experienced opponents in their first game together as a team. Despite dominating the early exchanges Heighington were unlucky to fall behind but deservedly levelled just before the break.
After the break Heighington went close on many occasions but were hit on the counter and found themselves behind again. The boys showed great spirit and togetherness and gained an equaliser following great team work. Heighington pressed forward but despite going close on a number of occasions they couldn’t find the net. An outstanding performance, given the boys have only been together for four weeks.
