A group of Woodham students spent a sunny last week of the summer term improving their French in the small seaside resort of Stella Plage on the Opal Coast of Northern France. The students enjoyed a packed itinerary of fun activities; extreme roller coasters at the Bagatelle theme park, a morning with sharks and other wonders of the sea at the Boulogne “Nautica” sea life centre and an afternoon at the fabulous “Aqualud” water park. They also had the opportunity to have a behind the scenes visit to a traditional boulangerie, where they learned how how to make the perfect croissant, and drooled at a display of chocolate making in a traditional chocolate factory. Evening activities included bowling, a disco as well as fun and games on the beach. The students loved every minute of a wonderful week.
