Aycliffe Radio CIC have been part of the local community since 2017 and are proud to serve the town and beyond, broadcasting from studios based at the Blue Bridge Centre (BBC), Newton Aycliffe. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, showcasing information on local events, news and activities within our local area, mixing it up with the latest music as well as classics from the past 60 years.
There is something for everyone on your local station including specialist genres such as Blues, Folk, Jazz, Soul, Mod/Ska, Flower Power, House, Disco, Dance and Eurovision. There are shows from Emperor Rosko (ex-Radio 1 presenter), a Youth Take Over on a Wednesday evening, the Around Town talk show and a breakfast show in collaboration with Durham On Air.

On Friday 4th August at 9.00am Aycliffe Radio will join five other local stations on the new South Durham multiplex; these include Frisk, Durham On Air, Prince Bishop Hospital Radio, Bishop FM, Dance Revolution and Alpha.
Aycliffe Radio station manager, Paul Howarth, said “We look forward to launching Aycliffe Radio onto the small scale DAB multiplex on Friday 4th August and begin broadcasting locally alongside our webcast on the world wide web. We are a diverse station with a multitude of genres and an array of excellent presenters.”
