ON 22nd July 2023 Darlington will host its annual Vintage Vehicle Rally with over 200 Vintage Vehicles and Motorcycles filling the town centre

The event which is free to visit will be attended by owners and vehicles from all over the North East and will extend to much of the pedestrianised areas within the town centre. The public are welcome to look around the vehicles and chat with the owners from 10am onwards.

Originally instigated in 2016 by the Darlington Business Improvement District its organisation was then taken on by a collaboration between Darlington Borough Council and a local business owner.

The town centre location has proven very popular with attendance increasing each year, many attendees rushing to register online on Christmas eve.

The oldest vehicle registered to attend this year is a 1926 AJS G8 motorcycle closely followed by a 1929 Ford Model A which has been transformed into a 5 litre Hot Rod.

Vehicles will be judged by Hartlepool and District Motor Club with prizes being awarded to the winner of each class by the Darlington’s Deputy Mayor Councillor Bob Donoghue shortly after 1pm.

Further information can be obtained from the organisers.
