This week’s Around Town show on Aycliffe Radio will be dedicated to Alan Brown, a fellow presenter, who on Tuesday morning crossed the airways for the last time and made his way to that big recording studio in the sky. Alan held the record (pun absolutely intended) as the oldest DJ in the UK aged 94.
During his time with us at Aycliffe Radio, Alan recorded 186 one hour shows from July 2019 to April this year when life tried to tell him he should maybe think of slowing down a bit.
I didn’t know Alan personally but if I was to take a guess at a suitable closing thought it might be ‘’That’s all from me, but before I go, take the time to do more of what you love and brings you happiness, and never let your age get in the way of living life’’
