Annette Blair and Neal Huitson were married at Neville Parade Methodist Church on the 8th August 1964.
Both were born in Bishop Auckland and moved to Newton Aycliffe in the 50’s. They met at the Methodist Church Youth Club. Neal worked for Lloyds Bank and Annette was employed at Neville Parade Post Office under Postmaster, Norman Langthorne.
Neal later worked for Atha and Co., Solicitors and Middlesbrough Combined Court Centre until retirement and now runs a wedding car service along with Annette from Aycliffe Business Park.
Annette’s hobbies included singing and the W.I. Neal has an interest in transport. The couple have two daughters.
They celebrated their 50th Anniversary on a cruise and plan a further holiday later this year travelling from Southampton to Vancouver – San Francisco – with a Rail journey to Chicago and New York, then cruising back to Southampton aboard Queen Mary 2.
