Local man, Paul Eales, has cycled over 500 miles in 50 days!
On most of the days he dedicated his ride to a cancer story from one of his friends and raised awareness and money for Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group. Final figure donated to the Group was £2580.
Paul lost his own father to cancer which was the starting point to raise funds for a local charity who help cancer patients and their families through the tough times.
In our lifetime we will all know someone who will be affected by cancer. Paul had loved ones fight and lose the battle and we will unfortunately see more and more of our loved ones be affected by this.
“I wanted to do my bit, so I was pleased to raise over £2500 by cycling 500 miles in 50 days before my sisters 50th Birthday. I was very encouraged by the support I received and the monetary donations which helped to keep me motivated and to succeed at the task in hand. I did this for those who have fought, still fighting, or those that will need to fight in the future” said Paul.
