Congratulations and well done to 4 cadets from 1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron Air Cadets, Cpl Adam Harman, Flt Sgt Paul Ughra, Flt Sgt Nathaniel Lakey and Sgt Kieran Newbery on achieving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. They attended a presentation this week at Buckingham Palace Gardens where they were congratulated by Princess Eugenie of York and presented with their certificates by Captain Mike Bannister, former Chief Pilot of Concorde. The Award marks a year of commitment and dedication by the cadets who have all completed: 12 months of volunteering, 6 months of learning a new skill, 3 months of developing a physical activity, a weeks residential and a 4 day expedition in the Cheviots!
