Aycliffe Lifeline Community Action (LCA) and friends celebrated five successful years supporting people in need by hosting a spectacular Garden Party at Woodham Golf Club.
The impressive Cockerton Silver Band welcomed over 200 guests into the Grand Garden Party. People from all walks of life came together looking rather splendid in beautiful outfits to help celebrate LCA’s 5th anniversary.
The Chairman of Durham County Council Councillor John Robinson highlighted the charity’s achievements; and how they had distributed a £million of resources into the community. The Mayor, Councillor Mrs. Wendy Hillary and her husband Councillor Jed Hillary were also in attendance.
The children had lots of laughs and witnessed pure magic by the talented and funny entertainer Harry Pottie. The very talented KDANZ Dance School impressed the crowd as the dancers performed fantastic moves to skilful choreography.
LCA again thank ASDA, Bishop Auckland and Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership (GAMP) who funded the event. Other supporters were Blossoms Nursery, Windlestone who donated flowers, Morvyn Sanderson who baked the 3 tiered celebration cake, Event 167 who supplied the wonderful sweetie Ferris wheel and Candy Floss machine.
Never forgetting the LCA volunteers who worked tirelessly and spent weeks of preparation into making it their best event ever. The children were to so happy to receive a party bag and popcorn as they left so they could continue the celebrations when they got home. It certainly was an event to remember!
