1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron Air Cadets recently held their annual presentation evening at the RAFA Club. The squadron continues to provide excellent opportunities for the cadets as was evident by the number of awards and certificates given out. The event began with the presentation of badges for academic achievements within the Corps and nationally recognised awards such as Heartstart first aid certificates and BTec Diplomas. These were followed by the presentation of Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

The range of awards on offer and the high calibre of the cadets shows why the squadron is still amongst the top squadrons in Durham and Northumberland Wing. Flt. Lt. Scott would like to thank everyone involved with the squadron for their continued support.
